And just like that, my entire photography account disappeared… gone forever and lost in cyberspace…

That was my experience of having my personal Facebook account hacked. And then - just because Meta thought it would be a great idea - they deleted my Photography BUSINESS account (Also connected to my Business Instagram, where ALL of my business lived).
Just like that, all of my hard work was gone.
I didn’t care much about the personal page, but the business page hurt.
All of my beautiful photos, my followers, and years of hard work disappeared within minutes right before my eyes.
Then, I quickly shook off the momentary panic feeling to thank freakin’ goodness I have my shit together.
All my backend was in place for Mission Prepared For Social Media Deletion.
I sent a mass email to over 900 subscribers within the hour.
My Photography business wasn’t affected- why? My number one traffic source is google.
I built up strong SEO and created a website - a safe place for my business to live - so that I didn’t rely on social media (Because we all know how reliable social media can be - hence the hackers).
Even though my Facebook and Instagram got hacked and deleted, the system I had put in place immediately sent leads an automated message and directed them to my website.
